Best Designs For Winter Dog Clothing
Winter is coming and that means the shopping shall begin. No, I'm not talking about for you. I'm talking about for your dog. Even though you pet has fur, it doesn't mean he is warm enough for the climate you live in and winter dog clothing can make a big difference. This is especially true for small breeds and hairless breeds because they tend to get colder than other types of dogs. However, any dog small or large, regardless of its breed, can use some extra warmth during the winter.
There are many different types of clothing available for your pup to wear all winter long that will look great and keep her warm and cozy. You can choose a variety of them so you can switch around throughout the winter.
One of the main items you'll need when choosing winter dog clothing is a doggie coat. These are the most obvious choices when you're searching for something to provide the most warmth. Dog coats are thick and offer the most protection for your furry friend.
Dog sweaters are another great option for winter dog clothing when the snow hasn't started falling yet or if you live in a warmer climate and just need to knock off the chill. These are made in pull over's, button ups and zip ups. A dog sweater will knock the chill off but they want make your pet sweat so it's something he can wear even when he's indoors.
The best option if you live in a cold, rainy or snowy area would be a doggie hooded sweatshirt. These are a dog form of the beloved "hoodie" and come in many different thicknesses to fit your needs. The best thing about these sweatshirts is that the hood will cover your dog's ears, which are a big concern for your pet when you live in areas with lots of rain and snow.
A great idea if you live in a very cold climate is to use a thin hooded sweatshirt and layer a dog coat overtop. This way, you are protecting her ears and giving her plenty of protection from the cold. Some owners are starting to look towards undershirts for their dogs as well. The added warmth under a sweater or coat can make all the difference in the world and it may be exactly what she needs to stay comfortable.
Just like you would never walk barefooted into the snow or cold rain, neither should your dog. There are wonderful choices in dog booties that fit like socks but that are thick enough to keep his feet warm and dry. Keeping your pup's paws warm will keep him happy and healthy all winter long. Not only does winter dog clothing keep your pet warm but they help show off your his unique style and personality. Do not forget the accessories to go with those new clothes because they help complete the look.

I have a MinPin who wears a harness when we go for a walk.?
It is now getting pretty cold outside and she needs to wear a coat when we go out. The only problem is I can't find a good winter dog coat that has an opening in the back to attach her lead. Regular dog collars don't work with her because she can slip out of them. Does anyone know where I can buy a dog coat that works with a harness?
I need a coat where I can put her harness on underneath and attach the lead through the back. I don't want to attach the lead to the coat itself because the coat can slip off.

Winter Coats for Dobes?
Does anyone know of a site or store that has good winter dog coats? I've got a Dobe/Lab mix (appears full Dobe) that's in dire need.
It has to be tight fitting and waterproof with a good zipper and very rugged because my dogs love to play outside.
Michigan winters are brutal and this one looks like it's going to be bad.
